Daron Harvey, motorcycle racing fan and owner of Targa Web Design Services

As a long standing motorcycle racing fan and with more than 25 years experience building websites and a range of web related roles, merging passion and knowledge made a lot of sense. Daron Harvey

My passion for motorcycle racing started way back as a kid when visits to Brands Hatch, Silverstone and Mallory Park to watch Barry Sheene, Ron Haslam, Mick Grant, Steve Parrish and Randy Mamola tearing up the tarmac.

These days the buzz can still be felt at Silverstone for the annual MotoGP visit, World Superbikes at Donington, and Bennetts British Superbikes at Brands Hatch. I still love MotoCross which I did for a few years back in the day.

I founded Targa Web Design Services after being involved in building websites and a range of web related roles since 1996. I spent twenty of those years in eCommerce for a multinational company, and for a few years we sponsored the British MotoGP rounds at Silverstone. It was a privilege to be so close to the action during Casey Stoner's last MotoGP season, and to see the emergence of Marc Márquez as the future of the next generation of MotoGP riders.

Great times, great atmosphere, and some great friends made!

Targa produces motorcycle racing websites for riders and teams to promote their brand, showcase their profile, and help keep fans and followers engaged.

Brand, Profile and Sponsors

Profile and brand is so important in motorcycle racing, and this is especially relevant to attracting and keeping sponsors.

Part of your website can be set up to provide an online platform showing your association with your sponsors, with photos, messages of appreciation, their logos and links to their websites.

All of this adds to your sponsors seeing a better return on their investment besides decals and brand logos on your bike, helmet and clothing.

News and Updates

Timely short social media postings are important before, during and after major events, but in addition your website can provide detailed summaries of pre-race and post race news, with comments from drivers, team principles, engineers, etc.

Race Calendar, Results and Events

Keep your fans, followers and sponsors informed with information about what’s coming up and where.

And obviously you’ll be keen to share news about your progress, testing and qualifying news, race results.

Why Use Targa?

We go the extra mile to build websites which are visually attractive, current, engaging, and...very importantly... easy to use.

There are many websites currently out there, including websites for motorcycle racing, which have been built using platforms as Wix and WordPress. In many cases the build methods result in massively large images and bloated code, and that can means people visiting those websites may find them difficult to view and navigate due to the amount of data needed to be downloaded for each page. That applies to mobiles too, which can be painfully slow over a mobile network.

Targa uses none of that, and the results are fast loading sleek attractive websites, optimised to work on all screen sizes, backed up by over 25 years of experience, and of course a passion for motorcycle racing!

Before you decide, a few minutes reading through this article on Website Builders and why they're slow could help you make an informed decision. You might be glad you did!
